A project repurposing two trailer houses into a cafe to effectively utilize vacant land along Yamashita Park Street in Yokohama. The concept envisions the trailers as “ships” and the wooden deck as the “pier” receiving them, creating a symbolic composition connecting the city and the sea.
The wooden deck features a flexible structure built by stacking recycled pallets, originally used as cargo handling platforms in logistics. Both the trailer houses and the pallets are designed for relocation and reuse after their initial service, embodying a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach.
