Leimond Ikaruga nursery school

more

A nursery school located in Ikaruga Town, Nara Prefecture. The site is near Horyuji Temple, the world’s oldest wooden structure, and is surrounded by a quiet environment of residential areas, farmland, and temples. Horyuji Temple is famous for its wooden pillar corridors, and this children’s garden also features corridors both inside and outside the buildings to encourage free movement.

By planning double corridors both inside and outside the building, the entire facility is connected in a flat layout, creating an environment that inspires children’s creative play and provides a calm, reassuring space that offers them a sense of ease and security in their daily lives.
