Architecture proposal for a nursery school in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The site is surrounded by the shrine, the botanical garden, and the park, and within walking distance of the greenway and the river, making it an ideal environment for children to become familiar with nature from an early age.
Taking advantage of the potential of this site, we proposed the “Midori-no-mori Park Nursery” where children can spend their time in the forest. The simple floor plan with a single corridor facing the school garden ensures natural lighting and ventilation, while keeping construction costs low.
